One of the new most popular travel destinations in the world is Siem Reap, Cambodia.  Angkor Wat is famous for being one of the wonders of the world, and the worlds biggest religious building and it is only a short bicycle ride from European Guesthouse.  The even larger Angkor Thom houses the many faces of the Bayon, famous for its stone carvings.  Also many vistors like to see the temples at Ta Prohm where parts of the temple are still claimed by the jungle and was the setting for the original Tomb Raider movie.

Siem Reap town is located less than 5 km from the ancient Khmer temples of Angkor Wat.  European Guesthouse is in the Wat Bo area named after the nearby pagoda.  It is a quiet location a five minute walk from Psar Chaa (Old Market) and Pub Street.

The bar at European Guesthouse is a popular hang-out place where you can relax having a drink, playing pool or meeting other travelers.  Also volunteers and expats from all corners of the world frequent the bar.
